# The CAC 40 Index Closes 0.50% Higher

The CAC 40 Index went up by 41 points or 0.50 percent on Friday to close at 8190 points.

The rise was led by STMicroelectronics (5.04%), Stellantis NV (4.24%) and Safran (3.14%).

On the downside, the weakerst performers were Dassault Systemes (-1.76%), Bureau Veritas (-1.62%) and Essilor (-1.52%).
