The United States plans to adjust its childhood vaccination schedule, removing universal recommendations for several vaccines, which will take effect immediately, bringing the U.S. vaccination program closer to the simplified Danish childhood vaccination schedule.

According to the new plan, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends vaccinations for 11 diseases, down from the previous guidance of 17.
