# Report: OceanBase ranks first in the local deployment market for distributed databases in China, and fourth overall

36Kr learned that the report "IDC China Distributed Transaction Database Market Tracking, 2025H1" released by IDC shows that in the first half of 2025, the native distributed database vendor OceanBase achieved revenue of 28.1 million USD, maintaining its position as the number one in the local deployment market for distributed transaction databases in China. This marks the second consecutive time OceanBase has topped this segment after the second half of 2024. Additionally, in the overall market including public cloud, OceanBase ranked first among independent vendors with revenue of 40.6 million USD, and fourth overall, continuing to lead the domestic database sector
