# Cross-border eCommerce Enabler BuyShip Announces First Closing of $12 Million Series C Funding

**(Hong Kong, 5 January 2026)** — Buy&Ship, the leading Hong Kong-based cross-border eCommerce enabler, today announced the first close of its Series C funding round, successfully raising US$12 million (approximately HK$93.6 million). The funding attracted high-profile investors, including **MLC Ventures (Mitsubishi Logistics Corp. Ventures), DLK Advisory**, and **MemeStrategy** (Stock Code: 2440.HK), with strong follow-on investments from **Cool Japan Fund** and **Altara Ventures**.

This funding round underscores the capital markets’ strong confidence in Buy&Ship’s business model and execution capabilities. The company will turbocharge the deep integration of AI technologies in cross-border e-commerce, pursue global mergers and acquisitions, expand aggressively into the U.S. market, and initiate preparations for a public listing.

Since its Series B round, Buy&Ship has delivered impressive growth. By forging multiple strategic partnerships, including with Mercari, Japan’s largest C2C online marketplace, Buy&Ship drove a 100% year-on-year increase in the company’s proxy-shopping revenue. By continuing to deepen its presence in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, launching direct Japan-to-Taiwan shipping services, and simplifying product features to optimize the overseas shopping experience, Buy&Ship achieved over 60% YoY revenue growth in Taiwan and more than 100% YoY in Singapore.

Buy&Ship eliminates the friction of global shopping through a deeply integrated, proprietary tech stack. Our platform begins with an AI-powered discovery engine that leverages LLMs and a proprietary dataset to surface global product opportunities for users. With a single click, the Buy&Ship virtual shopping assistant activates our automated backend: AGV-powered warehouses and intelligent logistics AI to manage complexities through auto-filling customs forms and optimizing delivery. This Series C funding will accelerate our mission to fully automate the cross-border e-commerce value chain, solving the market’s core need for both intelligent discovery and truly frictionless fulfilment.

**Sheldon Li, Co-Founder and CEO of Buy&Ship**, said, “This funding round not only validates our innovative leadership in cross-border e-commerce but also injects powerful momentum into our global expansion. With the networks and resources of our investors behind us, we will fast-track AI optimization to deliver a seamless cross-border shopping journey, enabling consumers to effortlessly access premium products from around the world. Buy&Ship remains committed to providing next-generation cross-border e-commerce services.”

**Eric Or, Chief Ecosystem Development Officer of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP)**, said, “Congratulations to Buy&Ship on securing the first close of its Series C funding round.
