The expansion builds on the program’s success in the DFW region and metro Atlanta, where many customers have incorporated it into their everyday lives: Wing’s top **25%** of customers order **3X** per week, and deliveries in these markets have grown by **3X** over the past **six months.** Walmart had expanded the service to an additional **five** Southeastern cities in June 2025, after increasing its delivery footprint in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in January 2024. The new service areas will include major metropolitan hubs such as Los Angeles, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Miami, with others to be announced later. This expands on Walmart’s previously announced expansion markets: Houston, Orlando and Tampa, Fla. and Charlotte, N.C., which continues later this week when Wing and Walmart start operating in Houston on January 15, 2026. “Drone delivery remains a key part of our commitment to meeting customers where they are,” said Greg Cathey, SVP of Digital Fulfillment Transformation at Walmart in a statement. “As we’ve expanded drone delivery to more markets, we have seen strong customer adoption and enthusiasm for this added convenience.
