The affected product is the 800-gram NAN OPTIPRO 1 formula 2 HMO, sourced from Germany. The Centre for Food Safety is working with Nestlé Hong Kong to seal off 6 suspected affected batches, confirming that they have not entered the market, while another 15 batches are in transit. Sampling results show that all samples in the market are qualified, and relevant departments will continue to monitor the supply situation The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department's Centre for Food Safety stated that Nestlé Hong Kong has voluntarily suspended and removed from shelves a batch of infant formula suspected of potentially using raw materials sourced from Bacillus cereus. The affected product is the 800g NAN OPTIPRO 1 formula 2 HMO, sourced from Germany. A spokesperson for the Centre for Food Safety indicated that the Centre is working with Nestlé Hong Kong to seal off six suspected affected batches of infant formula, which have not been released into the market. Additionally, 15 batches are on their way to Hong Kong, and the Centre will also seal them upon arrival. The Centre for Food Safety stated that so far, samples of infant formula tested for Bacillus cereus in the market have all yielded satisfactory results.
