BYD's passenger NEV retail sales in 2025 came in at 3,484,525 units, down 6.3% year-on-year, according to rankings released Monday by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). Geely Auto (HKG: 0175, OTCMKTS: GELYF) recorded NEV retail sales of 1,564,562 units in 2025, an 81.3% year-on-year increase, securing second place with a 12.2% NEV market share. Changan Automobile (SHE: 000625) recorded NEV retail sales of 789,141 units in 2025, a 26.8% year-on-year increase, securing third place with a 6.2% NEV market share. Xiaomi EV saw EV retail sales of 411,837 units in 2025, a 200.9% year-on-year increase, ranking tenth with a 3.2% market share. In the overall market including both NEVs and traditional gasoline vehicles, BYD ranked first in 2025 with a 14.7% share based on retail sales.
