# TSMC is gradually becoming "American TSMC" - Taiwan Affairs Office: It will only allow Taiwan to be further at the mercy of the U.S

> Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, stated at a press conference that TSMC's increased investment in the United States has led it to gradually become "American Semiconductor." She pointed out that Taiwan's semiconductor industry is a valuable asset, and the actions of the Democratic Progressive Party authorities have resulted in the core industry of Taiwan being sold out, further allowing Taiwan to be economically exploited by the United States, harming the interests of the people and the prospects for industrial development

The State Council Taiwan Affairs Office held a regular press conference. A reporter asked about TSMC's increased investment in the United States. Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian pointed out that the semiconductor industry is a valuable asset for the Taiwanese people. Under pressure from the United States and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities' "sacrifice," TSMC is gradually becoming "American TSMC." The DPP authorities' active selling out of Taiwan's core advantageous industries will only allow the U.S. to further exploit Taiwan, resulting in a loss of economic competitiveness and severely harming the interests of the Taiwanese people and the prospects for industrial development.
