# XINYI GLASS plans to build a flagship production base in Saudi Arabia with a total investment of USD 386 million

XINYI GLASS (00868.HK) yesterday (14th) signed a project cooperation agreement with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), announcing the construction of float glass, automotive glass, and high-performance Low-E energy-saving glass production lines locally. The project covers an area of over 350,000 square meters, with a total investment of approximately USD 386 million. It is expected that after the project is put into production, it will become the company's flagship production base in the Middle East and make XINYI GLASS the first automotive glass manufacturer in Saudi Arabia.

The company anticipates that the project will serve the local Saudi market while extending to markets in the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe, further supporting the strategic goals of industrial localization, export diversification, and advanced manufacturing development outlined in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030
