# HAL Earnings: Halliburton Stock Gains on Q4 Beat

Halliburton's (HAL) rose about 3% early Wednesday after the oilfield services giant reported fourth-quarter results that exceeded Wall Street's estimates.

During the quarter, the Texas-based company generated adjusted earnings of 69 cents per share on revenue of $5.7 billion, topping analyst expectations of 55 cents per share and $5.41 billion in revenue. However, EPS slipped 1.4% from a year earlier, while revenue increased a modest 2% year-over-year.
