According to an update to the Starlink website, the hardware now sells for $279 in Canada and $199 in the U.S., down 30% and 20% from regular pricing in each respective country. This is of course just for the required hardware, and a monthly plan is still required. Starlink’s Roam service plans now start at C$70/US$50 per month for 100GB of data, roughly equivalent pricing when taking the exchange rate into account. However, the unlimited option is actually a better deal in Canada, where it is priced at C$189, while in the U.S. it is priced at US$165 per month, or C$228 at a straight exchange. Together, the lower upfront cost and more flexible data tiers make the Mini Kit a far more compelling option for users who want reliable connectivity without committing to a fixed residential setup. These new cuts build on a broader pattern of aggressive promotions from SpaceX over the past year.
