# Anthropic's annual revenue exceeds $9 billion, attracting a surge of venture capital

According to informed sources, artificial intelligence (AI) startup Anthropic PBC is raising at least $1 billion in a single large check from Coatue Management, the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), and Iconiq Capital. Since last summer, the company's annualized revenue run rate has more than doubled and is expected to exceed $9 billion by the end of 2025. This deal has already been oversubscribed, with supporters planning to invest funds that have far exceeded the company's initial financing target of $10 billion; combined with previous funding commitments, the total amount raised in this round could easily surpass $20 billion.
