# Spotify launches AI playlists for easy custom playlist creation

Music streaming platform Spotify (SPOT.US) launched a new feature called "Prompted Playlists" on Thursday, using artificial intelligence to help users create personalized playlists.

The feature is currently available in beta form to Premium paid users in the United States and Canada, and will be gradually rolled out by the end of this month. The company began testing in New Zealand as early as last December.

According to the introduction, users can create playlists based on activity scenarios, such as "high-energy pop music suitable for a 30-minute 5-kilometer run, starting with a steady pace and then cooling down with easy songs," and can further add specific artists or eras as prompts
