# Weibo: Launching a special governance action against illegal and irregular behaviors such as spreading false information through fake staging and malicious marketing hype

Weibo administrators announced that starting today, Weibo will carry out special governance actions against illegal and irregular behaviors such as spreading false information through fake setups and malicious marketing hype. The platform will further strengthen identification management and actively guide users to enhance their awareness of self-identification: if posting content that contains fictional plots or dramatizations, users must use the declaration tool provided by the platform to mark the fictional dramatization identification; if posting content that does not contain fictional plots or dramatizations, users should also label the source of the information according to the platform's relevant rules
