# China successfully achieves 3D printing of space metals

Recently, the microgravity metal additive manufacturing return scientific experiment payload independently developed by the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, successfully completed metal additive manufacturing experiments in space. This mission is China's first return scientific experiment of space metal additive manufacturing implemented based on a rocket platform, with the related payload carried on the Zhongke Aerospace Lihong-1 Remote-1 spacecraft
