# Emerging market ETFs have attracted capital for the 14th consecutive week, with China-related ETFs being the most favored

Equity ETFs dominated the inflows, with a net inflow of $6.67 billion. China-related ETFs were the most popular, attracting $1.65 billion in inflows. Data shows that investors continued to increase their positions in emerging market assets last week, driving the trend of inflows into emerging market stocks and bond exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This marks the 14th consecutive week of net inflows for emerging market ETFs.

According to media compiled data, as of the week ending January 23, U.S.-listed emerging market ETFs that invest in multiple emerging market countries or specific countries attracted a total inflow of $6.83 billion, slightly lower than the previous week's $7.13 billion, but the overall scale remains high. Year-to-date, these ETFs have accumulated inflows of $18.4 billion.

In terms of asset classes, equity ETFs continue to be the main source of inflows, with a net inflow of $6.67 billion for the week; bond ETFs recorded an inflow of $15.84 million. With continued inflows, the total asset size of emerging market ETFs rose from $460.4 billion the previous week to $473.7 billion.

**Among countries and regions, China-related ETFs continue to be the most favored direction for funds.** The inflow into the Chinese market reached $1.65 billion for the week, led by the iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF. The previous week, the Chinese market also topped the emerging markets with an inflow of $1.69 billion.

In contrast, some markets experienced capital outflows. Data shows that Kazakhstan became the market with the largest capital outflow for the week, with a net outflow of approximately $475,000.
