# Shares in South Korean automakers slide after Trump post on raising tariffs

SEOUL, Jan 27 : Hyundai Motor shares fell 4 per cent at the opening on Tuesday, after U.S. President Donald Trump said in a social media post that he will raise tariffs on South Korean goods including autos from 15 per cent to 25 per cent. Shares in sister automaker Kia Corp and affiliate Hyundai Mobis also fell around 3.4 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively.
