# Jack Ma: In the AI era, we should no longer hesitate about whether to use AI, but rather how to teach children to use AI well

Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba (09988), stated that in the AI era, we should not hesitate about whether to use AI, but rather focus on how to teach children to use AI effectively.

According to domestic media reports, Jack Ma recently discussed the topic of whether rural education will be left behind by AI during a video conference at the "Laba Appointment" event of the Jack Ma Rural Public Welfare Foundation with rural teachers. Jack Ma said, "With AI, our education should no longer be about having children compete with AI in calculation and memory, but rather about keeping their curiosity alive, as curiosity is the source of computational power. The gap in the AI era is not a technological gap, but a gap in curiosity, imagination, creativity, judgment, and collaboration skills."

Jack Ma believes that future education in the AI era should not focus on having children memorize more or remember more, but rather on encouraging them to think in more interesting, creative, and unique ways. In the AI era, education should not aim for 1,000 students to provide the same correct answer, but rather for 1,000 students to learn to ask 10,000 different good questions.
