# Delphi Digital: Speculative funds are flowing from the crypto market to AI and robotics.

Delphi Digital states that cryptocurrencies are no longer the preferred destination for speculative funds seeking high-risk opportunities. Research shows that most altcoins underperformed last year, with speculative funds increasingly flowing into verticals with exponential growth narratives, such as AI and robotics. Nansen's chief research analyst, Aurelie Barthere, stated that in addition to AI applications attracting funding, the repricing of expectations for Fed rate cuts leading to tighter liquidity in risk assets, and the slow progress of the CLARITY bill amid political gridlock, have all put pressure on crypto market sentiment. Data shows that robotics startups raised a record $13.8 billion in 2025; while cryptocurrency VC investment, although growing in 2025, slowed sharply in December, declining by 77% in a single month.
