# Meta increases investment in AI spending

Meta Platforms (META) rose more than 8% in early trading on Thursday. The company reported fourth-quarter results that exceeded expectations and set its 2026 capital expenditure guidance at $115 billion to $135 billion to invest in infrastructure and new "intelligent" AI products. The company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that products that may enhance the AI-driven business functions of its applications will be launched soon
