Century Huatong Gains After Chinese Game Developer Predicts Five-Fold Profit Surge in 2025

(Yicai) Jan. 30 -- Shares of Century Huatong Group advanced after the Chinese gaming company said it expects its net profit to have widened about fivefold last year.

Century Huatong [SHE: 002602] closed 4.8 percent up at CNY19.76 (USD2.84) in Shenzhen today, after earlier gaining as much as 8.5 percent.

Net profit likely surged 357 percent to 475 percent to between CNY5.6 billion and CNY7 billion (USD798 million and USD1 billion) in 2025 from the previous year, the Shanghai-based company said in its earnings forecast yesterday. Revenue probably grew 68 percent to CNY38 billion (USD5.5 billion).

Over the past two years, Century Huatong has launched multiple hit products. Its flagship mobile game Whiteout Survival generated USD2.1 billion in revenue last year, up 45 percent from 2024, maintaining its position as the top-grossing overseas mobile game for the 24th consecutive month. As of Dec. 31, the game had generated a total global revenue of USD4 billion.

Century Huatong’s new game Kingshot ranked third on the Chinese mobile game overseas chart, and Tasty Travels: Merge Games entered the top 15 on the Chinese mobile game overseas chart.

Century Huatong’s subsidiary Century Games surpassed well-known gaming giants, including NetEase and miHoYo, to rank second behind Tencent Holdings in the Chinese companies’ global revenue ranking last year, according to a report by Sensor Tower.
