# Trump's nominee for Federal Reserve Chairman is announced, and the two-year U.S. Treasury yield falls by more than 3.4 basis points

> On Friday (January 30), at the New York close, the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury rose by 1.21 basis points to 4.2434%, with a cumulative increase of 7.84 basis points in January; the yield on the 2-year Treasury fell by 3.46 basis points to 3.5245%; the yield on the 30-year Treasury rose by a cumulative 3.92 basis points to 4.8838%. The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year Treasuries increased by 5.072 basis points to +71.892 basis points. The yield on the 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) rose by 1.21 basis points to 1.9027%; the yield on the 2-year TIPS fell by 5.93 basis points to 0.6699%

On Friday (January 30), at the New York close, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury rose by 1.21 basis points to 4.2434%, with a cumulative increase of 7.84 basis points in January. The overall fluctuation range was 4.1221%-4.3065%, with a significant rise from January 15 to 20.

The yield on the 2-year U.S. Treasury fell by 3.46 basis points to 3.5245%, with a cumulative increase of 5.14 basis points in January; the yield on the 30-year U.S. Treasury rose by 3.92 basis points to 4.8838%.

The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year U.S. Treasuries increased by 5.072 basis points to +71.892 basis points, with a cumulative increase of 2.906 basis points in January, showing a W-shaped reversal trend.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) rose by 1.21 basis points to 1.9027%, with a cumulative increase of 0.78 basis points in January; the yield on the 2-year TIPS fell by 5.93 basis points to 0.6699%. According to Bloomberg data, the cumulative decline in January was 48.86 basis points, continuously dropping from 1.1874% to 0.6699%; the yield on the 30-year TIPS was roughly flat in January at 2.62%
