# Safran Landing Systems expands production base in Singapore with an investment of 22 million yuan | Lianhe Zaobao

After the completion of the new factory in December last year, the world's second-largest aircraft equipment manufacturer Safran continues to expand in Singapore. It has invested SGD 22 million in a joint venture with Singapore Technologies Engineering, Safran Landing Systems Services Singapore, to expand its production base in the country.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion project was held on Tuesday (February 3), and the company's Managing Director Benoît Graby revealed in an interview with Lianhe Zaobao that the expansion project is expected to be completed by September.

The expansion project is located at 22 Loyang Way, with an additional area of approximately 7,500 square meters, about 250 meters away from the existing production base.

### Plans to hire 100 employees in Singapore by 2030

François Bastin, President of Safran Landing Systems, stated that due to strong demand growth in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, the company is expanding its maintenance service capabilities for next-generation aircraft such as the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350.

Bastin further mentioned that after the completion of the expansion project, the plan is to hire and train about 100 new employees in Singapore by 2030. Graby added that the new hires will mainly come from technical and engineering fields, including both Singaporeans and foreigners.
