# The Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Japan restarts

Tokyo Electric Power Company in Japan announced on the 9th that the No. 6 unit of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant, which was temporarily shut down to investigate the cause of a malfunction, was restarted on the 9th. The company operating the nuclear power plant released a news bulletin on its official website, stating that at 2:00 PM local time on the 9th (1:00 PM Beijing time), it began to withdraw the reactor control rods and started the reactor.
