In trading on Monday, consumer discretionary stocks fell by 0.8%. **Top Headline** **Sally Beauty Holdings Inc** (NYSE:SBH) posted better-than-expected earnings for the first quarter. The company posted adjusted EPS of 48 cents, beating market estimates or 46 cents. The company's quarterly sales came in at $943.168 million versus expectations of $940.150 million. **Equities Trading UP** - **Nexstar Media Group Inc** (NASDAQ:NXST) shares shot up 12% to $248.00. President Donald Trump endorsed Nexstar Media Group's $6.2 billion acquisition of Virginia-based television broadcaster Tegna Inc. (NYSE:TGNA) on Saturday, reversing his November opposition to the deal. - Shares of **Valaris Ltd** (NYSE:VAL) got a boost, surging 24% to $77.44 after the company announced it will be acquired by Transocean for around $5.8 billion. - **Oracle Corp** (NYSE:ORCL) shares were also up, gaining 8% to $154.85. Silver traded up 7.9% to $82.94 on Monday, while copper rose 0.7% to $5.9250. **Euro zone** European shares were mostly higher today.
