# MEDIALINK GROUP invests tens of millions to hold the "CON-CON" event, expecting 30,000 participants, aiming to promote Hong Kong IP

The anime agency MEDIALINK GROUP (2230) is fully hosting the first IP trend cultural event "CON-CON HONG KONG 2026." Chairperson and CEO Zhao Xiaoyan stated that the event has invested tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars, with over 40 booths set up, and it is expected to attract about 30,000 participants over two days, including tourists from mainland China, Thailand, and other regions. She expressed that the boldness to hold this event is to prove that Hong Kong people have the capability to establish their own IP (intellectual property), with the goal of using this "event IP" as a starting point to gradually expand to various parts of Asia.

## Promoting Deep Integration of Multiple Licensed IPs

Regarding the expected revenue from this event, Zhao Xiaoyan stated, "Breaking even is already making a profit." She hopes that through this grand event, the licensed IPs under her company can deeply integrate with partners from different fields, further enhancing the commercial value of the IP and driving the development of upstream and downstream industries, while connecting the global IP supply chain, incorporating educational and social value elements in an entertaining way.

Additionally, in the face of ongoing geopolitical instability, Zhao Xiaoyan believes that Hong Kong has a natural advantage of cultural convergence between East and West, and that geopolitical issues will not affect the essence of cultural exchange. She stated that regardless of the economic environment, the entertainment industry always possesses strong vitality.

## CON-CON to be Held in April Featuring Various Japanese Anime IPs

"CON-CON" will take place from April 4 to 5 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, featuring multiple elements and experiential activities, black box theater performances, and more. It will showcase several Japanese and local IPs, including "Mobile Suit Gundam," "Jujutsu Kaisen," CASETiFY, and will also provide immersive experiences through SONY and J.LEAGUE, allowing the audience to interact with virtual idols through touch
