According to a report by Reuters last year, Sunway Healthcare plans to raise over 3 billion Malaysian Ringgit (nearly 970 million Singapore Dollars) through the listing, with a subsequent valuation exceeding 15 billion Malaysian Ringgit.

The funds raised from the listing will primarily be used to support hospital expansion plans.

As of January this year, Sunway Healthcare has approximately 1,805 beds and is one of Malaysia's leading private healthcare service providers. Sunway Healthcare is also a subsidiary of the construction giant Sunway Berhad, which has recently begun to actively invest in the Singapore real estate market, including the acquisition of MCL Land for 738.7 million Singapore Dollars to develop high-end residential projects in the country
