# Double Medical Health appoints six investment banks as underwriters for its IPO | Lianhe Zaobao

Sunway Healthcare, which is preparing for an IPO in Malaysia, has appointed six investment banks as underwriters.

Sunway Healthcare has signed agreements with Maybank, Affin Hwang, CIMB, RHB, Kenanga, and AmInvestment Bank to appoint these firms as underwriters for the initial public offering (IPO).

According to a report by Reuters last year, Sunway Healthcare plans to raise over 3 billion Malaysian Ringgit (nearly 970 million Singapore Dollars) through the listing, with a subsequent valuation exceeding 15 billion Malaysian Ringgit.

The funds raised from the listing will primarily be used to support hospital expansion plans.

As of January this year, Sunway Healthcare has approximately 1,805 beds and is one of Malaysia's leading private healthcare service providers. Sunway Healthcare is also a subsidiary of the construction giant Sunway Berhad, which has recently begun to actively invest in the Singapore real estate market, including the acquisition of MCL Land for 738.7 million Singapore Dollars to develop high-end residential projects in the country
