# National Healthcare Security Administration: In 2026, promote the opening of cross-provincial mutual assistance for employee medical insurance personal accounts in all provinces

On February 10, the National Healthcare Security Administration released the first batch of key items for the "Efficient Handling of One Matter" in the medical insurance sector for 2026, which specifies that all provinces will open up cross-provincial mutual assistance for employee medical insurance personal accounts. The list clarifies that by the end of 2026, 80% of designated medical institutions nationwide will achieve instant settlement; at least one batch of national organized procurement of drugs and high-value medical consumables will be conducted; and direct settlement of hospitalization and childbirth medical expenses across planning areas within the province will be basically realized
