# Utilities Up Sharply on Greenhouse-Gas Reversal - Utilities Roundup

Shares of power producers rose sharply as the Trump administration prepared to roll back greenhouse gas emissions legislation, easing pressure on fossil-fuel plants.

The Trump administration is planning to repeal the Obama-era scientific finding that served as the legal basis for federal greenhouse-gas regulation, according to U.S. officials.

The plan is to reverse the 2009 "endangerment finding," which identified six greenhouse gases as a threat.
