WAM Strategic Value Ltd ( (AU:WAR) ) has provided an update.

WAM Strategic Value Limited reported strong investment performance for the six months to 31 December 2025, with its investment portfolio gaining 9.8% and outperforming the S&P/ASX All Ordinaries Accumulation Index by 5.4%, and delivering a 14.9% return over the 2025 calendar year. The company has also built a track record of consistent returns since inception, aided by an 82.7% allocation to equities and selective exposure to global equity LICs such as Regal Partners Global Investments, Pengana International Equities and Regal Asian Investments.

The company announced a higher fully franked interim dividend of 3.25 cents per share, equating to an annualised fully franked yield of 5.7% and a grossed-up yield of 8.1%, while operating profit before tax surged 200.7% to $16.0 million and after-tax profit rose 158.6% to $12.8 million. Despite this performance, WAM Strategic Value’s shares still traded at a 23.2% discount to its look-through pre-tax NTA of $1.49 per share at 31 December 2025, even as sector-wide discounts across LICs and LITs narrowed, highlighting ongoing value for shareholders and the company’s focus on closing the gap between share price and asset backing.
