# Why Are Centrus Energy Shares Sliding On Wednesday?

**Centrus Energy Corp.** (NYSE:LEU) shares tumbled on Wednesday, extending losses from the previous session after the uranium enrichment company reported disappointing fourth-quarter results that missed Wall Street expectations on both revenue and earnings.

The company reported quarterly earnings of 79 cents per share, missing the Street estimate of $1.28 by 38.09%. Quarterly revenue came in at $146.2 million, missing the consensus estimate of $146.34 million and declining from $151.6 million in the year-ago period.
