# Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Xie Feng: China boosts global development through openness, embracing the world to share opportunities

On February 10th, the Chinese Embassy in the United States held a New Year reception themed "Seeking Progress While Maintaining Stability in the Year of the Horse." Ambassador Xie Feng stated in his speech that in the past year, China's economy has advanced under pressure, moving towards new and better developments. Against the backdrop of sluggish global economic growth, China's total economic output is expected to exceed 140 trillion yuan by 2025, with a year-on-year GDP growth of 5%. China empowers its development through innovation, with major national projects such as Tianwen-2 and the Yaxi Hydropower Project emerging one after another. Cutting-edge technologies like AI large models and humanoid robots are competing vigorously, and the number of "lighthouse factories" ranks first in the world. For the first time, China has entered the top ten in the global innovation index. China promotes global development through openness, hosting events such as the Consumer Expo, Canton Fair, Service Trade Fair, and Import Expo, launching the closure of the Hainan Free Trade Port, expanding its visa-free "circle of friends," and implementing "zero tariffs" for the least developed countries. China has become a major trading partner for over 150 countries and regions, embracing the world to share opportunities and continuously serving as the most stable and reliable source of global growth.
