# Huatai Securities: Optimistic about three major investment themes including the accelerated high-quality development of energy storage

36Kr learned that Huatai Securities' research report stated that on February 11, the State Council General Office issued the Implementation Opinions on Improving the National Unified Electricity Market System (Guo Ban Fa \[2026\] No. 4), proposing that by 2030, a national unified electricity market system will be basically established, with all types of power sources and electricity users, except for guaranteed users, participating directly in the electricity market, achieving joint transactions across provinces and regions as well as within provinces, and the spot market fully transitioning to formal operation. Huatai Securities believes that the promotion of the national unified electricity market will continuously benefit the construction of the new power system from multiple dimensions such as profit mechanisms, development space, and consumption assurance, and is optimistic about three major investment themes: the accelerated high-quality development of energy storage, the continuous construction of the main grid framework, and the structural growth of new energy demand
