On February 15th, the Emergency Management Bureau of Xiangtan City, Hunan Province reported that at approximately 16:15 on February 14th, a fire occurred at the site of Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. After the incident, departments including fire rescue, emergency management, public security, and ecological environment quickly organized forces to rush to the scene for rescue and disposal. As of 2:40 AM on February 15th, the open flames at the scene had been extinguished, and the incident did not result in any casualties. Preliminary investigations indicate that the fire was caused by a gas pipeline near the No. 4 blast furnace area during the handling of an abnormal power outage by Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd.
