# METASPACEX issues 16.7 million new shares at a 3% discount, raising HKD 50.1 million

According to the Economic Information Agency on the 16th, China Smart Technology (01796) announced that it will issue 16.7 million new shares at a price of HKD 3 per share to independent third party Tan Win Sen, raising HKD 50.1 million.

The group stated that the price per share represents a discount of approximately 2.6% compared to the closing price of HKD 3.08 last Friday (13th), and the new shares will account for about 3.4% of the expanded share capital. The net proceeds from the placement are intended to be used for business cooperation with Guangzhou Xinglun Security Industry in the fields of industrial Internet of Things, industrial software, and intelligent manufacturing, and/or for general working capital.
