# ByteDance Volcano Engine releases Doubao Large Model 2.0

According to domestic media citing ByteDance, its Volcano Engine has officially released the Doubao Model 2.0 series. The Doubao 2.0 series includes three general Agent models and a Code model: Pro, Lite, and Mini, which flexibly adapt to various business scenarios.

Among them, Doubao 2.0 Pro is aimed at deep reasoning and long-chain task execution scenarios, fully competing with GPT 5.2 and Gemini 3 Pro; 2.0 Lite balances performance and cost, with comprehensive capabilities surpassing the previous generation main model Doubao 1.8; 2.0 Mini is designed for low latency, high concurrency, and cost-sensitive scenarios; the Code version (Doubao-Seed-2.0-Code) is specifically built for programming scenarios and works better when combined with TRAE.

Targeting enterprises and developers, Volcano Engine has launched the Doubao 2.0 series model API services. Individual users can experience it in the Volcano Ark Experience Center or by opening the Doubao App "Expert" mode, while developers can use the Doubao Model 2.0 in TRAE
