# Industry estimates that the average daily visitors to Macau during the Lunar New Year holiday will be between 160,000 and 170,000. Galaxy Entertainment: Hotels are nearly fully booked

> The Macao Tourism Industry Council expects an average of 160,000 to 170,000 visitors per day during the Lunar New Year holiday, with hotel booking rates exceeding 90%. Galaxy Entertainment stated that demand during the holiday is strong, with hotels nearly fully booked and high restaurant reservations. Hotel room rates and overall consumption are expected to grow steadily, and gaming revenue will also benefit from the increase in travelers. Senior gaming intermediaries predict that daily gaming revenue during the Spring Festival will rise to 800 million, with overall gaming revenue expected to reach 22 billion to 23 billion

According to a report by Ming Pao, the Chairman of the Macao Tourism Industry Council, Hu Jingguang, anticipates that during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, the average daily visitor count will be around 160,000 to 170,000. He also noted that the current hotel booking rate has exceeded 90%, with travelers still able to book rooms for about 1,000 to 2,000 Macanese Patacas (the same below) per night, while the prices for international star-rated hotels in Cotai are even higher, reaching 3,000 to 4,000 Patacas.

Galaxy Entertainment (00027.HK) stated in response to inquiries that overall demand for its resorts during the holiday is strong, with hotel room bookings nearly full and high demand for dining reservations as well. Benefiting from the long holiday and the increase in visitors to Macao, it is expected that this year's hotel room rates and overall customer spending will grow steadily compared to the same period last year. At the same time, it is anticipated that the volume of travelers during the holiday will remain robust. The group is optimistic that the Lunar New Year holiday and the increase in visitors will strongly drive stable growth in gaming revenue and is confident that it will positively contribute to overall business performance.

Senior gaming intermediary Lin Guiguang estimates that daily gaming revenue during the Spring Festival period will increase to over 800 million, with daily gaming revenue expected to grow to 800 million to 900 million on the third day of the Lunar New Year when visitors start to surge, and gaming revenue in February is expected to reach 22 billion to 23 billion. The mainland's efforts to cut interest rates and relax consumer credit will also help boost spending by mainland travelers visiting Macao. In terms of VIP gaming, in addition to the existing 17 to 18 intermediaries participating, it has recently been heard that two more intermediaries plan to enter the market
