# Elon Musk indicates that the Optimus robot will change lives starting next year

> Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that the Optimus humanoid robot will begin to change lives next year and is expected to have a significant impact by 2028 and 2029. He responded to Cathie Wood's viewpoint, claiming that humanoid robots are 200,000 times more complex to develop than autonomous taxis. Musk's goal is to transform the car factory into a robot manufacturing facility, producing 1 million Optimus robots annually

Elon Musk, the CEO of American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla (TSLA.US), responded on social media platform X to a post by "tech goddess" Cathie Wood, stating that the Optimus humanoid robot will begin to bring about changes next year, becoming significant in 2028 and having a huge impact in 2029.

Wood previously posted that the complexity of developing humanoid robots is 200,000 times higher than that of autonomous taxis, also stating that robots could bring revolutionary changes to life as early as 2028. The post predicted that based on Musk's first principles methodology and tenacity, Tesla's Optimus robot will start to change factory life in 2028 and 2029, thereby transforming home life.

Last month, Musk transformed the automotive factory production line into a robot manufacturing facility, aiming for an annual production of 1 million Optimus robots
