# STOCKS | Hong Kong Stocks Close Higher on Last Trading Day of the Year of the Snake

> Hong Kong stocks closed higher on the last trading day of the Year of the Snake, with the Hang Seng Index up 0.52% and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 0.13%. Notable gains included Lam Research (+14.05%) and Gigadevice Semiconductor (+9.78%). CATL rose 2.71% following its inclusion in the Hang Seng Index, while Lao Feng Xiang and China Molybdenum increased by 6.64% and 6.35%, respectively. The market operated for half a day due to the Lunar New Year holiday.

Hong Kong stocks ended higher on the last trading day of the Year of the Snake, with the Hang Seng Index rising by 0.52% and the Hang Seng Tech Index up by 0.13%. According to Jin10, the storage concept and non-ferrous metals sectors showed strength, with Lam Research (06809.HK) closing up 14.05% and Gigadevice Semiconductor rising 9.78%. Additionally, driven by news of its inclusion in the Hang Seng Index, CATL (03750.HK) closed up 2.71%, Lao Feng Xiang (06181.HK) rose 6.64%, and China Molybdenum (03993.HK) increased by 6.35%. Due to the Lunar New Year holiday, the Hong Kong stock market only traded for half a day, closing in the afternoon.
