# Sector Update: Financial Stocks Edge Higher Premarket Tuesday

09:19 AM EST, 02/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were edging higher premarket Tuesday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) advancing by 0.4%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was up 1.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 1.1% lower.

Donnelley Financial Solutions ( DFIN ) shares were up more than 7% after the company reported higher Q4 adjusted earnings and net sales.

Activist investor Jana Partners has amassed a stake in payments company Fiserv ( FISV ) and is seeking changes to help boost its underperforming stock, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Fiserv ( FISV ) stock was up more than 3% pre-bell.

Goldman Sachs Group ( GS ) intends to eliminate demographic factors such as race and sexual orientation from its board candidate requirements, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Shares of Goldman Sachs Group ( GS ) were 0.2% lower premarket.
