# YouTube down for more than 240,000 users in the US, Downdetector shows

Feb 17 (Reuters) - Alphabet-owned (GOOGL.O) YouTube was down for more than 240,000 users in the United States on Tuesday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

There were 240,707 incidents of people reporting issues with the social media platform as of around 7.59 p.m. ET, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources.
