# Record order backlog, UK BAE Systems plc aims at the defense spending boom

The CEO of BAE Systems, Charles Woodburn, stated that defense spending has entered a "new era" against the backdrop of escalating geopolitical challenges.

The company's sales are expected to grow by 10% in 2025, reaching a record £30.7 billion (approximately $41.7 billion); operating profit is expected to increase by 9% to £2.93 billion.

The company's order backlog amounts to £83.6 billion. Last year, it secured several large orders, including from Norway, the United States, and Turkey.

The company's stock price has risen by 57% over the past year, with an increase of nearly 23% so far this year
