# Trump's tariffs face setbacks, Amazon, PDD and other e-commerce stocks rise together

> The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Trump's tariff policy, which may lead to a complete cancellation of tariffs and drive up e-commerce stocks. Amazon rose over 2%, PDD and eBay each rose over 4%, Etsy rose more than 6%, and Shopify rose 3%. The Supreme Court ruled that Trump did not have the authority to impose tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act

After the U.S. Supreme Court overturned President Trump's key tariff policy, comprehensive tariffs may be canceled, leading to a rise in the stock prices of e-commerce platforms. Amazon (AMZN.US) rose over 2%, PDD (PDD.US) and eBay (EBAY.US) each rose over 4%, Etsy (ETSY.US) increased by more than 6%, and Canadian e-commerce platform Shopify (SHOP.US) rose by 3%.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6 to 3 that Trump did not have the authority to impose tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), stating that the law does not explicitly authorize such measures
