The 2026 X9 BEV will be equipped with an 800V high-voltage platform, 5C ultra-fast charging capability, active rear-wheel steering, and dual-chamber air suspension. The model will feature the company's in-house developed Turing AI chip, delivering a maximum computing power of 2250 TOPS for its smart driving system. Pre-orders for the 2026 X9 BEV commenced in late January, though pricing details remain undisclosed. This marks a strategic deepening of Xpeng's "BEV+EREV" dual-powertrain transition. Last November, the company launched the extended-range variant of the X9 starting at RMB 309,800 ($45,080) to address Chinese consumers' demand for vehicles eliminating range anxiety. The X9 was initially launched in China on January 1, 2024, as Xpeng's first MPV, available only as a BEV at that time. The 2025 X9 BEV was launched in April 2025 with a starting price of RMB 359,800. As Xpeng's inaugural MPV, the X9 delivered 26,017 units throughout 2025, accounting for 6.06% of the company's total deliveries, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
