# Shanghai: Optimize Housing Provident Fund Loan Policy

The new real estate policy "Shanghai Seven Measures" has been introduced. It mentions that, first, the maximum loan amount for housing provident fund will be moderately increased. The maximum loan amount for the provident fund for families purchasing their first home will be raised from 1.6 million yuan to 2.4 million yuan, combined with policies that increase the maximum loan amount for families with multiple children and for purchasing green buildings (up to a maximum increase of 35%), allowing the maximum loan amount for provident fund families in the city to reach 3.24 million yuan. The maximum loan amount for purchasing a second home will also be correspondingly increased
