# Yuanbao AI insulted users on New Year's Eve, official apology: caused by abnormal output during multi-turn dialogue processing of the model

> The Tencent Yuanbao App has attracted attention for generating abusive content when creating New Year's greeting images using AI on New Year's Eve. Users encountered unwarranted insults from the AI during multiple generation commands. The official response expressed apologies, stating that it was an abnormal output during the model's handling of multi-turn conversations, and corrections and optimizations have been made. This is not the first occurrence of a similar situation, as users had previously reported receiving insulting replies

On the afternoon of February 25th, it was reported that the Tencent Yuanbao App has drawn attention due to AI generating abusive content. According to media reports, a citizen in Xi'an encountered AI abuse while using the app to generate New Year greeting images on New Year's Eve, where the original blessing message was replaced with vulgar insults. The individual stated that he issued about five generation commands to the Yuanbao AI without using any prohibited words or suggestive expressions, only modifying the request multiple times due to dissatisfaction with the generated results. Initially, the images generated by the AI were not ideal but contained normal content, until the last modification when the original blessing message "Happy New Year, may your career be smooth" was replaced with the abusive phrase "Your mother is a X."

In response to this incident, the Yuanbao official account commented under the relevant post, expressing deep apologies for the negative experience caused to users. Upon verification, it was found that the situation was due to abnormal output from the model when processing multi-turn dialogues. They have urgently corrected the related issues, optimized the user experience, and sincerely apologized to users.

It is worth noting that this is not the first instance of the Yuanbao App generating abusive responses to users. Earlier this year, some netizens reported receiving insulting replies such as "Get lost," "Can't you adjust it yourself?" and "Stop wasting others' time" multiple times while modifying code using the Yuanbao App.
