# Yangtze River Shipbuilding's performance is impressive, with a 24.6% year-on-year increase in net profit for the second half of the 2025 fiscal year | Lianhe Zaobao

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding reported impressive earnings performance in the second half of fiscal year 2025, with net profit increasing by 24.6% year-on-year to RMB 4.45571 billion (approximately SGD 820.86 million). The board of directors proposed a final dividend of 20 cents per share.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding released its performance report for the second half and the entire year after the market closed on Wednesday (February 25), showing that as of the end of last year, revenue in the second half rose by 15.8% year-on-year to RMB 15.62729 billion.

The group delivered 33 vessels on time in the second half, seven more than in the second half of 2024. Among the vessels delivered in the second half, seven were delivered by the joint venture Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

Revenue from shipbuilding business increased by 14% year-on-year, mainly due to an increase in the number of vessel deliveries, steady progress in construction activities, and improvements in new ship prices. Revenue from shipping business slightly declined by 1% year-on-year due to weak charter rates.

Earnings per share in the second half were approximately RMB 2.19; net asset value per share was approximately RMB 8.17.

From an annual performance perspective, revenue reached a record high of RMB 28.5 billion, an increase of 7.4%. This was mainly driven by the growth in shipbuilding business revenue, which accounted for 94% of total annual revenue.

Annual net profit increased by 30.2% to RMB 8.63708 billion The group pointed out that the order volume began to increase from the second half of last year. In January 2026, global new shipbuilding orders increased by 27% year-on-year, reaching 5.61 million Compensated Gross Tonnage (CGT). The group holds a cautiously optimistic outlook for its business and expects the total order amount for the fiscal year 2026 to reach 4.5 billion RMB.

Yangtze River Shipbuilding's stock price fell 2.78% on Wednesday, closing at 3.85 yuan
