NVIDIA's Q4 revenue hits a record high, guidance exceeds expectations, Jensen Huang asserts that the "AI industrial revolution" has just begun According to Zhitong Finance APP, the AI chip giant NVIDIA (NVDA.US) has once again announced "explosive" performance. Amid a series of product launches from Anthropic and Citrini's "end-of-day report" intensifying investor panic, NVIDIA's latest results continue to prove that the demand generated by AI remains strong, and the large-scale construction of AI infrastructure is still on track. The financial report shows that for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 ending January 25, NVIDIA's revenue grew by 73% year-on-year to a record high of $68.1 billion, better than the consensus forecast of analysts at $65.9 billion. By business segment, the data center business (responsible for its industry-leading AI accelerators and networking products) saw revenue growth of 75% year-on-year to $62.3 billion, also a record high, surpassing analysts' consensus forecast of $60.4 billion. However, other business segments performed relatively weakly. The gaming business (once the main source of NVIDIA's revenue) saw revenue growth of 47% year-on-year to $3.73 billion, below the consensus forecast of $4.01 billion; the automotive business saw revenue growth of 6% year-on-year to $604 million, falling short of the consensus forecast of $643 million. In terms of profitability, under Non-GAAP accounting standards, operating profit grew by 81% year-on-year to $46.1 billion, and net profit grew by 79% year-on-year to $39.6 billion. The adjusted earnings per share were $1.62, better than the consensus forecast of $1.53. The adjusted gross margin was 75.2%, also slightly higher than the consensus forecast. NVIDIA's Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress stated that the year-on-year improvement in gross margin was due to "reduced inventory provisions," while the quarter-on-quarter improvement was related to "better product and cost structures" brought about by the continued ramp-up of Blackwell chips. ![11.png](https://imageproxy.pbkrs.com/https://img.zhitongcaijing.com/image/20260226/1772062569995509.png?x-oss-process=image/auto-orient,1/interlace,1/resize,w_1440,h_1440/quality,q_95/format,jpg) ![12.png](https://imageproxy.pbkrs.com/https://img.zhitongcaijing.com/image/20260226/1772062573304663.png?x-oss-process=image/auto-orient,1/interlace,1/resize,w_1440,h_1440/quality,q_95/format,jpg) What is even more encouraging for investors is that NVIDIA has also provided guidance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 that exceeds expectations. NVIDIA expects first-quarter revenue to be $78 billion (with a fluctuation of 2%), significantly exceeding the consensus forecast of analysts at $72.8 billion, and implying a year-on-year growth rate accelerating to 77%. Analysts pointed out that NVIDIA's total revenue and data center revenue for the fourth quarter both exceeded expectations and reached new highs, with gross margins continuing to improve as production of the new generation Blackwell chips ramps up. Additionally, the guidance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 is stronger even without accounting for some revenue from the Chinese market, reinforcing the narrative of resilience in AI computing power demand and helping to alleviate market concerns about an AI investment bubble NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated, "Our customers are racing to invest in AI computing power—these computing factories are powering the AI industrial revolution and its future growth." Huang has repeatedly downplayed concerns about the sustainability of AI hardware spending. He believes that replacing the existing global base of old computer equipment with machines capable of achieving leaps in productivity will take years. It is worth noting that a significant cloud hanging over the tech industry is the shortage of memory chips. Like most companies in the electronics industry, NVIDIA's products rely on a stable supply of these components—these memory chips provide short-term storage for devices ranging from smartphones to supercomputers. Limited supply has driven up memory chip prices and put pressure on NVIDIA's shipments this year. In response, NVIDIA stated that the company has ample supply, "We have strategically locked in inventory and capacity to meet demand beyond the next several quarters." Earlier this month, NVIDIA announced that Meta Platforms (META.US) has agreed to deploy "millions" of NVIDIA AI chips over the next few years, further deepening the already close collaboration between the two AI giants. NVIDIA's main competitor AMD (AMD.US) also announced a similar long-term agreement with Meta this week. The company stated that this deal is worth tens of billions of dollars. Chip manufacturers use a series of such large transactions as evidence that AI demand remains strong. These deals are intended to lock in long-term computing power commitments. However, the "intimate" nature of these transactions—where suppliers and customers sometimes hold shares in each other—has also drawn criticism, suggesting that such circular trading may artificially inflate demand. Another significant issue is that NVIDIA is still waiting for clear guidance on whether it can continue to operate in China. China is its largest market, and NVIDIA's ability to sell its advanced products to Chinese customers remains restricted. NVIDIA stated that its revenue outlook for the first fiscal quarter does not include any income from its China data center business. However, the company indicated in a document that it has obtained U.S. permission this month to export a "small number" of H200 chips to customers in that Asian country. NVIDIA stated, "To date, we have not generated any revenue under the H200 licensing program, and it is unclear whether any products will be allowed into China. The license requires that H200 chips must be inspected in the U.S. before being shipped to customers. Therefore, any H200 chips exported under the new licensing program will be subject to a 25% tariff when imported back into the U.S." ### Related Stocks - [NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDA.US.md) - [T-REX 2X Long NVIDIA Daily Target ETF (NVDX.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDX.US.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Long NVDA Daily ETF (NVDL.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDL.US.md) - [Direxion Daily NVDA Bull 2X Shares (NVDU.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDU.US.md) - [Direxion Daily Semicondct Bull 3X ETF (SOXL.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SOXL.US.md) - [The Technology Select Sector SPDR® ETF (XLK.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XLK.US.md) - [YieldMax NVDA Option Income Strategy ETF (NVDY.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDY.US.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Short NVDA Daily ETF (NVD.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVD.US.md) - [VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMH.US.md) - [iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sect ETF (IGV.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/IGV.US.md) - [iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SOXX.US.md) - [State StreetSPDRS&PSftwr&SvcsETF (XSW.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XSW.US.md) - [XL2CSOPNVDA (07788.HK)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/07788.HK.md) - [XI2CSOPNVDA (07388.HK)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/07388.HK.md) - [Direxion Daily NVDA Bear 1X ETF (NVDD.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDD.US.md) - [T-REX 2X Inverse NVIDIA Daily Target ETF (NVDQ.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDQ.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [LPU: Nvidia popularizes a new AI acronym](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279662346.md) - [Planet to build world’s first GPU-native AI engine for planetary intelligence with Nvidia](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279330399.md) - [Persistent Systems launches AI-powered generative molecules and virtual screening solution powered by Nvidia](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279394554.md) - [NVIDIA Just Announced NemoClaw to Make OpenClaw Safer as ‘Lobster’ AI Agent Craze Raises Security Alarms](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279437474.md) - [Nvidia forecasts $1 trillion in orders for its AI systems by 2027](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279321763.md)
