# MTR CORPORATION has been designated as the host of the 2028 UITP International Summit by the International Public Transport Association

> MTR Corporation announced that it has been selected by the International Public Transport Association to host the 2028 UITP International Summit, marking the first time this event will be held in the Asia-Pacific region. The Secretary for Transport and Logistics of Hong Kong, Lam Sai-hung, stated that the Hong Kong SAR government fully supports MTR and invites all public transport operators to participate and showcase Hong Kong's public transport strength. MTR believes that this summit will be an important platform to promote the "Hong Kong Railway Standards" and demonstrate Hong Kong's achievements in railway construction and sustainable service development

MTR Corporation (00066.HK) announced that it has been selected by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) as the host for the 2028 UITP International Summit, marking the first time this century-old event, a top gathering in the global public transport industry, will be held in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Alice Chan, stated that MTR Corporation's successful bid for the UITP International Summit will bring together government agencies, public transport operators, and representatives from around the world to Hong Kong. The Hong Kong SAR government will fully support MTR Corporation in hosting this significant event, and I sincerely invite all public transport operators and industry partners to actively participate and showcase Hong Kong's strength as "the world's best public transport."

MTR believes that the UITP International Summit is a timely opportunity to promote the "Hong Kong Railway Standard" as an important international platform, demonstrating to the world how Hong Kong's own brand continuously enhances the quality and efficiency of railway construction, supports the sustainable development of railway services, and maintains Hong Kong's position among the world's leading high-quality and efficient railways, leading the "Hong Kong Railway Standard" to the world and becoming an important bridge connecting international railway professional organizations with countries
